For the first time ever Second Hand Rose will be open on Black Friday. We will be re-stocked and re-set with a store full of new items for you - and filled with great Christmas items, gift items, furniture, home decor, fresh greens, wreaths - you name it - we'll have it!! We will be open from 9am to 6pm and then promptly close our doors to make it all completely new again for our December sale which is December 6-7-8-9!!

Come shop all of the great occasional shops - we will all be open that day - like This and That; The Porch and Atelier; Barn Chix; Bellacroux and Thistledew; Kathie's Finds; Patina General; The Marina of Buffalo; Yesterday's Charm, Lillian's; and Now and Again. Then be sure to shop all of the other great stores that Buffalo has to offer - The Buffalo Nickel, A Wreath of Franklin, Meshed Design, Downtown Variety Gallery, The Picket Fence, The Buffalo Art Gallery, Sterling Drug, Buffalo Wine and Spirits (with a great selection of wines, liquors and beers), Buffalo Books and Coffee, and Annie's Attic. Buffalo Rock Winery will be open too with wine tastings - and a nice selection of their local wines. All of these stores will be filled with great Christmas shopping too!
Head just 7 miles west on Hwy 55 to Maple Lake and visit Olde Town Creamery - Scott will be open Friday thru Sunday and is offering 20% off storewide! While you are in Maple Lake stop in at Irish Blessings Coffeehouse for great gifts, wonderful coffees and wonderful goodies. A mere 5 miles west of Maple Lake will bring you to Lake Country Antique Shoppe (formerly Maple Lake Antiques) and they are always filled with treasures! If you want a little road trip, head on out to Kimball - just another 15 or so miles and visit Millner Heritage Winery - a beautiful setting with great local wines.
Want to get your Christmas tree? Buffalo Hills Tree farm is just on the outskirts of town with many varieties of cut your own trees. On the other end of town is Deer Lake Orchard with a large variety of Minnesota grown pre-cut trees. They will offer hot steaming coffee and the petting zoo area will be open for the kids too! A bit farther out of town is Dutch Lake Guest House in Howard Lake. They have a beautiful setting, a large variety of trees and an awesome host and hostess and will help you find the perfect tree to cut! They will also have hot coffee and hayrides!
Need some place wonderful to have lunch? Try BJ's Deli or The Loaf and Ladle - right in downtown Buffalo. Both offer incredible homemade soups and sandwiches and BJ's also has great salads and mouthwatering desserts! Both of these places close at 3pm - but never fear if you are a looking for a later lunch or dinner - stop in at Jay's Diner in downtown Buffalo for mouthwatering down home foods; or Hot Wok for wonderful Chinese (and the best wontons in the entire world!); or House of Lo in downtown Buffalo with a great view of the lake; Buffalo Bar and Grill offers up great burgers and drinks; Norm's Wayside on the east side of town has the world's best pizza and a full drinks menu; out on the other side of town is Mill Creek Inn with a full menu, pull tabs and full bar - and they have great homemade soups too! Want some incredible Mexican? Stop in at Rancho Grande right on Hwy 55 for incredible food and margaritas.
With all of this great shopping, eating, wine tasting and tree cutting - who needs the malls? Or visit them in the wee hours - but then head West for the most unique and best shopping Minnesota has to offer!
