Declaration of SPRING
Yep, it is official...........SPRING IS HERE!!!! Well, at least here at SECOND HAND ROSE! I have more photos for you - and for some reason I didn't get any photos of Ted's cupboards and I just can't say enough about how absolutely supercalifragilistic they are this month - oh my gosh, they are so well put together, but even better they are just so unique and FUN!!! There are 3 of them that I want to take home sooooooo bad - but I would probably have to move Mike out to the garage to make room for them and I think he might object! So enjoy the photos that I have and COME ON IN and see Ted's cupboards - along with all of the rest of our wonderful, incredible, awesome, one of a kind, just gotta have it, can't live without it, absolutely to die for, really good junk!!

Can you say Tulip???
I am SOOOOOOO excited! Mike and I went to an auction today and ran into this very very very cool Tulip style table and matching 4 chairs! I was bound and determined to have it - and I got it! This one has the molded plastic chairs and base (which by the way is VERY HEAVY!!) not the injected fiberglass like the original Tulip tables. But they are all hard to come by - I was actually lucky enough to get another table with a metal tulip base and no chairs - I'll come up with some cool chairs to put with it tho! Haven't unloaded it yet and it needs to be scrubbed and some new fabric on the chairs - but it will be in my spot this week! The table and chairs just look like SPRING to me - I can't wait to get them in there and start decorating! I'll get more photos this week of what everyone is doing - but those little birds that Rose was hearing are telling me that spring has sprung at SHR!!

Rose talk of Second Hand Rose (finally)
Hello Everyone, Kris Hart spent some time with me today to show me how to add to MY blog. I am not very talented when it comes to computers but I remind everyone that I shine in other areas.
We had a terrific sale if you consider that we had rain, sleet, snow, wind, piles of snow in front of the shop, an icy sidewalk, dealers with the flu AND the Super Bowl! I sold a lot of pretty green Ivy plants. Everyone is so anxious to see GREEN!
Coming soon on our Blog is a notice that Ted Thompson one of our talented dealer at Second Hard Rose is going to be presenting his incredible furniture on the Second Hand Rose blog. He will be selling direct to you. Ted studied furniture making with the Amish in the Eastern US. I just know that his furniture is going to be collectible some day. He is one of these rare people who has talent AND taste. So, now is your chance! He makes a table that makes me weak in the knees and his prices are really reasonable. He will also continue selling at our monthly sale.
Once again we will be moving some dealers around for the next sale. Gail Walden will me back with her upholstered pieces. Many of you have been asking about her.
