Thanksgiving Thoughts

We've all got Christmas on the brain this time of year - getting our spots ready, making gifts, watching commercials - but this week we have to pause and celebrate Thanksgiving. Seems it often gets overlooked doesn't it? We are having a quiet day at our home - my husband, my son, our friend Mr. Flannery and myself. And we won't be having a turkey - I know, I know, almost un-American isn't it????? My guys prefer other foods so it will be beef and pork roasts - bake them together and they make the most excellent gravy!!

All of us at SECOND HAND ROSE want to wish you and your families a very Happy Thanksgiving Day. We hope that you get to spend your day with families and friends, enjoying company, fellowship and good food. Remember to take some time to think about what you are thankful for. We are thankful for ALL OF YOU - we have such great customers who keep coming back which allows us to keep doing what we love to do best - create wonderful stuff!

Take a moment this week and be thankful for all of our servicemen and women who won't get to be home - we are also soooo greatful to all of them.

Then remember to be thankful for jobs, roofs, friends, the ability to breathe, health, friends, food and family. In these tough times there are still so many folks out there who are lacking in one of many of these things.

Happy Thanksgiving All!! You are the best!

  1. I have to admit... I hit my big old pause button with you! I went to set up my Christmas booth AND I COULDN'T DO IT!!! I had a real problem pulling the Thanksgiving down BEFORE Thanksgiving Day! LOL So alas, one of the things I am thankful for is my in-ability to glitter over Thanksgiving!!! I just parked my angel overlooking the turkey and my manger scene has acorns and fall leaves instead of straw!

You are making MY kind of Thanksgiving dinner!!! Heck, I'm on my way - I'll bring you some peeeeeecan pie!

Have a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving - all of you!!!

    ;-) Robelyn
